Out of town shopping
Besides the 400 shops and service companies in the centre, Västerås also has two retail parks on the outskirts of town: Hälla and Erikslund.
Erikslund retail park is home to several large chains selling sports goods, clothes, shoes, electrical goods and pet supplies. There are also large supermarkets, pharmacies and a Systembolaget (the

only shops in Sweden that are allowed to sell alcohol). Erikslund also has one of Sweden’s largest IKEA stores, which is in the newly opened Erikslund Shopping Center, where almost 100 shops will open this autumn.
Hälla Shopping also has a wide range of shops for all tastes and purposes. Fashion, electronics and interior design are just a few of the themes you’ll find here. One of the shops that you’ll find at Erikslund, Hälla and Västerås City Centre is Systembolaget, the only shop in Sweden that is allowed to sell alcohol.
Both Erikslund and Hälla have a wide range of places to eat. The parking is free of charge and it’s easy to get from shop to shop.
