people of all ages. You can bake bread over an open fire, spend the night in a Viking tent followed by a breakfast of porridge, shoot a longbow and take part in other activities typical of the Viking Age.
Frösåkers brygga is not a museum, it is an area full of activities and events where you can try out different handicrafts, row Viking boats, paint swords, go swimming and much more besides. The area also has a Viking café with its own vegetable garden where you can relax and enjoy the view of the lake. The café serves sandwiches, salads and pastries, all made using organic and local produce. Almost everything is unique. The buildings, boats and embellishments have all been made by archaeologists, shipbuilders and artists and many of the Viking settlement’s props have been used in the well-known films about Arn. Take a trip to Frösåkers brygga and experience something that is both fun and exciting. You can get here by car or boat from Västerås city centre. Activities Forging, cooking, Viking boats, fishing, food and health or just relaxing in the beautiful nature reserve. During the summer, enthusiasts from near and far are holding a number of workshops on the Viking theme. Closed until further notice due to fire |
